McCoskers Flasher Wrasse and another wrasse?

I currently have a male McCoskers flasher wrasse in QT right now. He is doing great and will be added to my 150 gallon DT in two weeks if all stays well while it's in quarantine. After seeing how beautiful he is and how much personality it has, I have decided that I want to add another wrasse to my tank.

My question is what would be some good choices for another wrasse that would keep aggression between the two to a minimum? I want a wrasse that stays on the smaller side even though I have a 150 gallon tank. So I'm thinking something in the 3 - 4" range. I want something bright and vibrant. I have my eye on the Linespot Flasher and Mystery wrasse. I am worried about the mystery wrasse being invert safe since I have heard mixed reviews. Just looking for opinions from people that have had experience keeping multiple wrasses together. I just want to make sure I keep aggression to a minimum.

If keeping aggression to a minimum is important then stay away from a mystery wrasse. They get ornery as they age and are particularly aggressive toward other wrasses.

Nearly any other species of flasher and most fairy wrasses will work. Just make sure to have a tight fitting lid and use a social acclimation box.

+1 on the mystery wrasse. Leopard wrasses are generally beautiful and peaceful. Key is having a sand bed and buying a leopard wrasse that's already eating prepared foods.

I currently have a McCoskers with a Hoevens, Solon fairy, Exquisite and a Pink margin fairy. Good luck

I have a McCoskers, Solon Fairy, and Lubbuck Fairy all together................no problems at all.

I love the flasher/fairy wrasses...........my favorite group of fish.

Bummer about the mystery wrasse, but that's what I kind of suspected. Well it looks pretty promising that I can keep some other wrasse with my McCoskers with no problems. I might add another fairy/flasher wrasse and a Tanaka Possum Wrasse. He is cool and stays pretty small.

I have a McCosker's, a Red Headed Solon Fairy, a Cleaner Wrasse, and a Lemonade Wrasse all in a 75 and they are totally cool with one another. I love the colors that the Lemonade Wrasse is turning...very fun to watch.

Never heard of a lemonade wrasse........what is it?

had 2-3 leopards, mystery, 2 Lineatus, fairy and McCosker, yellow in a 100 before. If the mystery/6line added last then your fine, all I know was any other new wrasse added was pretty much toast, regardless of size.

I have a mccoskers, solar fairy, lubbock fairy, Scotts fairy, exquisite fairy, vrolik's, yellow coris, red striped christmas, lime green, leopard and cleaner wrasses all in a 125 without issues. Even have a purple pseudochromis in there also. The more wrasses the less the aggression.
