McCosker's flasher wrasse

Hello.
I finally took out my sixline from my tank, because he was preventing the addition of any new fish.
So, now I need a wrasse to replace it..!
Is this McCosker's flasher wrasse more peaceful?
:bounce1:

Good to know, lol.
What is their care?
And I don't understand their color thing, do they NEED to have females around?

My flasher doesn't bother anybody in my tank. My 6 line (no longer in the tank) was very aggressive toward tankmates.

I have one in my 90 gallon tank. He stays in the upper right half and weaves in and out of the rocks/coral all day. He was very shy and hid for about a week when he was first added, only coming out after the halides went off.

flasher and fairy wrasses do "flash" when excited or angry. they change colours and turn iridescent, very brilliant. they swim around with this "flashing" colour much like a billboard sign with their fins widely extended or clamped, depending on the species.

all flasher wrasses flash with their fins extended though. some fairy wrasses flash with fins closed.

if you have multiple females and a mature male, a harem will be created and the male will flash to the females to attract their attention.

however flasher and fairy wrasses don't need females to flash. they can flash at other wrasses too in the form of aggression. i have one that just flashed for fun. at his reflection.

but with a group of females the chances are greatly increased and is rewarding to observe this behaviour.

I had one without a female years ago and I'd catch him flashing at least every day or so. At his reflection, other fish, whatever he wanted to flash at. He didn't flash as much as my current one (I have a female with the current one), but he flashed often enough. Very active, peaceful fish.

Super peaceful fish, gets along with everyone.
Also is everywhere!
I had heard that they were not aggressive eaters and was concerned, as it was the last fish I added to my system at the time, but he caught right on and is so fat now!
