Mean fishy

Am I the only one who gets attacked by my Clown when sticking my hand in the tank to do routine maintenance? The little guy flies around my hand like a shark, and nips at me. He/her actually got in between my fingers and got ahold of loose skin, and bit hard enough to leave a red mark. Are Clowns always that aggressive? Or is mine an exception? I can even try and shoo it away, and he is like a yo-yo, he just comes right back after me. It is kind of comical to watch, but a pita when I always have to watch my back.

My tomato and maroon clowns both attack me whenever I put my hand in the tank. It seems like more people have clowns that do attack than clowns that don't.

marroons, tomatos, clarkii's....mean fish, and don't like human hands in the tank. I've had each one try and bight my hand off...surprisingly it was the clarkii that was the most ferocious

I am regularly attacked by my big GSM

:-)

little rascal!
She also tries to body slam me (I think she is trying to use her gill spines!)

Well, this dude is like an attack dog. Guess I'll have to get a screen to confine him in, so I can do my work without being attacked, and attracting the sharks.

Putting a net in the tank near where you're working will often keep them away. They're smart too, in case you haven't noticed, he he.

yea my clarkii makes me laugh when i try to check on eggs, corals, etc...she charges my hand and acts like a lil crazed idiot...darting in and biting the crap outta my hand..which like i said...at this moment is making me laugh...lol i just can't wait till she gets full grown..it will be a challenge to keep up on reg tank duties. And +1 on the net gig...it does work in my experience.
