Measuring with par meter, upright flat or towards light?

hey guys, got my seneye for measuring par.

I notice the apogee sensor is a half Dome shape and people held it upright, not tilted on videos.

The seneye sensor is indented inwards, do you tilt the sensor at the light or just hold it flat regardless of where the light is?

E.g light is in middle and you measure front left glass, do you hold it so sensor faces straight up or tilt it toward the middle where the light source is?
what is the correct way to measure par.

You face it so the sensor is looking straight at the light source no matter where it is in relation to it..
