medicating angelfish help

I have a singapore angel. The day I bought him he was spunky and looked great.
I put him in my qt, which was dt water that was filtered with chemipure before I filled the qt.
By morning his eyes were foggy and he did not eat, its been almost a week and he wont eat.
I bought melafix? I think that's what it is, but I dosed it into the tank last night.
Since than he has started swimming about, still wont eat.

I have 2 ghost shrimp and a baby mollie in there as well in case he wanted live food.
I am even hatching brine shrimp for him to try.

Before medication that parameters tested perfect.

The fogginess is on both eyes.

Is my approach right? Am I feeding him too early in his illness?

Cloudy eyes can be a bacterial infection. there are other possible causes too. Melafix is a tea-extract that claims to cure everything. From a vendor: " Treats bacterial infections such as red ulcers, fin and tail rot, cloudy eyes, mouth fungus, and others in as little as 4 days. Also heals open wounds, ulcers, and damaged fins." (What, not herpes and gout too!) Although I've never used it IME, stuff that claims to cure everything, really never cures anything. I certainly wouldn't expect results overnight. If you have confidence in Melafix (it has its fans, might work) give it time to work. I personally think there are better antibiotics. Keep feeding, remove uneaten food, and watch ammonia. Others will have some more ideas.

I don't think I like melafix right now.
day 2 and he's basically dead
his tail barely moved when I netted him and he's stiff as a board.

The shrimp and snail are perfectly fine right now.

Should I keep him in there or should I put him down in the freezer?

He looks soo sad.

If it was just overnight, nothing would have saved him. Antibiotics, and other meds take time to work. Keep a dead fish in the tank? Why? He'll decompose and could cause a huge ammonia spike. Why the freezer, do you need to keep him for guarantee purposes?
Sorry, I have to ask this; are you serious?

If he's still alive, I feel it is more humane to freeze them in water than flush them, I wish there were guarantees.
Poor guy. He is in the big ocean in the sky now, I hope it doesn't fall, heavenly salt rain would suck.

Anyways. That melafix did not affect my ghost shrimp. I fed one to a fish who had got bit on the eye by my puffer and the swelling went down the next day....coincidence...maybe, idk.

Smells like vicks vapor rub. I removed fish, added a big bag of carbon and am going to skim the crap out of the water, do a change, and than try again with another angel.
idk, I haven't had luck with thin bodied fish. I had a longnose butterfly for 3 days, and the angrl lasted. A week if that
