What would happen if I treated my seahorse tank with neomycin?
Would it kill the good bacteria?

Hi ponydesigns,
You should never use medications in the display tank. This will kill your bio-filter.

Any treatment with meds should only be done in a seperate hospital tank.

+1 on treating a DT.

also, a top SH breeder is now using Furan 2 (at package recommended dosage) for bacterial infections in SH w/good results.

one of the problems w/Neomycin has been having to bump up the dosage to around 5x the recommended. also, Neo treatment is typically combined with Triple Sulfa treatment.
