I am looking into buying some live rock but I think the tank that rock was in (FOLR) some kind of copper based medicine was used. I am planning on setting up a new tank that would have corals in it... does anyone think this will pose a problem? Any way to clean the rock or is it hopeless?

Yes, I think the copper may well cause a problem for invertebrates and I would not recommend it. It is almost impossible to clean live rock adequately. If you already have it, it may be worth the significant effort, but if it is not yours yet, I'd avoid it.
