Meet Gretchen!

Steve and I would like to introduce our new baby This is Gretchen. She's a 12 week old blue doberman puppy. She's very well mannered and has not had one accident in the house yet! I've wanted a doberman for ~13 years and now that I've got somewhere in Columbia to stay for college my parents caved and decided that I could get my dream dog, a doberman Here are some cute candid shots that I took of her yesterday when she came home:

Ears are getting cropped tomorrow...to me, a dobe isn't a dobe without cropped ears

It is a classic look, but an inexperienced vet can really screw up a good looking dog.

Lot's of opinions on that when you talk to dog people, cropped or uncropped. In the UK it is almost exclusively uncropped.

Boils down to personal preference.

My vet did a great job...he's done tons of ear crops and has been practicing for quite a while I believe that the US is one of a few countries that allows it still, I think cropping is illegal in Europe.

She definately does not look happy. I wouldn't be either. She will get you back for that. Just warning you.

check the inside of your shoes before you put them on.

But the pic is cute.
