Meeting 9/25 Rollcall

Does anyone know what this month meeting topic is? Usually I receive an email by now with more detailed information.

I plan on going but I get out of class around 8:30pm so I won't show up till 8:45 or so. Hope the meeting lasts that long.

I got this email from Chris last Friday:

This coming Tuesday, September 25th at 7:15 pm at New River Middle School, 3100 Riverland Road, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312, the Florida Marine Aquarium Society will be holding our monthly meeting. This month we have Christy Brigman coming to speak with us about fish disease. She is very knowledgable on the subject and this is a meeting not to be missed.

We will be holding our monthly auction after Christy if done. Please bring any coral or livestock you may have to help the club out. The auction is a 50/50 split between the club and the club member who brings the livestock. This is a major source of income to the club and we greatly appreciate those of you who help us out!

On Sunday October 14th at 11:00am we are booked to have a special club tour of ORA!!! This tour is competely free of change to all club members. Please put this date on your calendar. An email will be sent out the first week of October asking for RSVPs for this event. We will start a carpool thread on reef central shortly for this outing. ORA is located in Ft. Pierce approximately 2 hours north of Miami.

Last but not least we have one of our famous FMAS tank hops, scheduled for November 4th. The tour will last appoximately from 9 in the morning to 6 at night. Will will be touring the area on a greyhound type bus with fellow club members visiting some of the nicest tanks around. The cost for the event is only $5. We ask that this amount be paid in order to reserve your spot. While this fee does help the club pay for the bus, the club covers a good portion of the bus fee. Sign-ups for this event will begin at the September meeting this month. Sign up before the bus is full!

Happy reefing!
Chris Little
FMAS President

FMAS covers Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Please feel free to come to the meeting and check it out. No obligation :)

Unfortunatly I have a "suprise" test in the very last class today, and will not be able to make it to the meeting after all. Those of you interested in trades/buying my corals, please give me a call and we can set something up. I already heard from one person, I am meeting with her thursday morning to sell her some pieces, but lots more is left.
