Meeting Idea's

im of the opinion that anyone who visits the sub forum is a member, anyone who shows at the meets is a member..

the person who hosts, if its a hosted meet, is in charge..

the person who volunteers to bring the booze better show up..

i would encourage people to bring what they like, if you wanna bring frags/equipment/family members to show/trade/sell fine by me..

if your not comfortable bringing stuff, cool..

i plan on goin.. i dont have a tank.. no frags to trade... if i remember/get to go, i will try to bring something productive (food/beverage/twister)

the local club w/ an agenda and officers has a site, and a weekly chat... feel free to participate in both clubs...

if i get off my butt and order the led's iv been drooling over, i may put on a project demo.. but 6 months in, i havent ordered em yet, so i wouldnt hold my breath.. :)

i guess that puts me at 4cents so far.. or is it 6? o well, good thing we dont have a treasurer... :lol:
 
ok, as of this morning elections it seems im now the president.

i wasnt expecting such a landslide victory, 1 - 0..

its with great hesitation that i accept your choice.

for my first act as ARS(e) President, i am signing an executive order banning taxes (dues). i will also be opening our border w/ our neighbors and w/ our non neighbors (feel free to come n go as you please (and i have a deck that needs built, day laborers needed.)) my third act is to designate cdbias2 as event coordinator for the first semicentiniannual ARS(e) House or Other Location Event (H.O.L.E.).

This ARS(e) H.O.L.E. is expected to happen on or around the afternoon of FEB 13 2010. This may change, consult cdbias2 for more details.

In the likely event of my being unable to fulfill the duties as ARS(e) President, I nominate Kung as my VP. Kung has clearly stated that he(?) has no intention of being overly active in this club, and thats just the sorta person thats right for the job.

voting on VP will be / was held @ 11:45 am this morning. congratulations to Kung on his unopposed victory.

i will now open the floor to new business. barring any new business (and there had better not be any) we can call this meeting adjourned.

I was thinking about breaking out a shot glass for the meeting but now I think everyone may need to bring their own. I'm going to need mine.
 
If anyone wanted to go together and make place orders together the meeting date would be a great time to pick up the items... just saying.


I might be interested in placing an order to help out my clean up crew. I don't want to think of this as a group by because 1 or 2 additional people should be all I need so that we can get to a free shipping level. Anyone that plan on attending the meeting interested?
 
I'm not sure how receiving livestock on a Saturday will work out, but I have been wanting some more scarlets.
I've been ordering out of OH from Thatpetplace.
 
I hoped to keep the discussion of the club formation at the meetings. This would keep people from influencing the outcome which have no interest in participating to start with. However, that dream is now dead. It appears the meeting started 2 weeks early and anyone with an RC account can have input.
 
But if we continue the discussion at the meeting, those who aren't there can't interject, right? Those who are obviously have an interest, and thus belong, right?

That may sound snotty, I tend to sound that way, but I don't mean it to be. I'm just saying what I've been saying. Let's have a meeting and go from there.
 
I read on another club that they they post an issue and state a vote is going to happen at a club meeting a minimum 1 week in advance.
Then after the meeting, their are PM ballots accepted for 1 more week.

For their club all you had to do was to log on at least every two weeks to be able to place a vote.

I do believe those time frames are a little close in this club.

I'm also not suggesting anything. It's not my idea, It's just how another club operated.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

As I said in another thread, I forseen a series of meetings. At some point if you cannot make any of those then your voice really might not be heard. However that was just my thinking, everyone else may disagree.

I can't help but wonder if that wouldn't be prefered by a number of you. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I miss a meeting and you don't have to listen to me go on and on

I think this may have been misunderstood.
I was just calling a ballot box "private voting" but if everyone wants to gather around for a show of hands, that's fine too. It seems as everything is out in the open here.
I just thought we hold it like any other election.
