Meeting on the 22nd and fish mush list!!

OK, the meeting is at my house on Feb. 22nd a Sunday at 2. If you are later that is fine. I would like a list of folks planning on comming and am making a list of things wanted for the fish mush from the folks comming and wanting in. If you want to actually see the food making in process speak up so I will be sure and wait on you. It did take some practice not to turn the shrimp into puree goo ;).

I will get all ingrediants gathered and a total price of all included in the mush and will divide it down per baggy if that if fine. Seems most fair way to do it. This makes a ton of food and goes a long way.... way more economical than store bought frozen.

I have already cyclopeez powder, flakes and pellets, fish eggs, 2 containers of Zoo 9 in 1 artificial artemia, nori, vitamin addatives, selon, and will gather the rest.... brine, myasis, shrimp, mussels, clams...kinda things...

Gotta run for now but will be back tonight to update with what all went in the last few batches!

Put in this thread what you think would work for your tanks needs and if you plan on comming please.

OK, I'll be there, but an address would be a good thing to have:) just so I know where I'm going...... thanks Angela

I am going to make it to the meeting and I want a large bag of the fish mush..that stuff lasted me forever..and was really cheap...I definitely recommend the fish mush for everyone...watching angela make it is also a fascinating thing.

My addy is:

4346 Ambergate court
Franklin TN 37064

If you are comming from 840 you take the peytonsville/trinity exit
From 840 west (murfreesbouro folks) you take a right at the bottom of the ramp and the 840 east guys (spring Hill) take a left at the bottom of the ramp. I will get an exit # up soon.

Make the first left which is like 100 yards from the ramp infront of an old closed store onto Peytonsville Rd.

Make the first right onto GOSEY HILL rd which is like 1/4 mile, not far at all after you turn onto peytonsville. There is no road sign on the roadside but across the road pointing to Gosey hill. Just make the first right and you will be good.

Go about 2-3 miles on Gosey and our subdivision is on the left. We are the only subdivision on gosey so we are easy to find. Turn into Ambergate Subdivision which is a one lane road and we are at the dead end. You drive right into our drive.

From 65 take the franklin exit onto 96 twords Williason county med. center (left on 96 from 65 south and right onto 96 from 65 north). Go to Arno road which has a red light and make a right. (Same road Jfolly is off for those who went to her meet). Stay on Arno for a few miles to you see Gosey hill on your right. If you see Page highschool on the right you just missed us, turn around. Go 2-3 miles and Ambergate is on your Right, only subdivision on the road so easy to find. We are at the dead end.

We are out in the country a bit so sorry for having to get off the main road a little but its only 10 mins from 96 for a time refrence.

I hope 2ish works for most folks and now I am on a time crunch to get LOTS of loose ends tied up on the tank!! I need a reason to finnished and get remotivated!! :)

Yea, I will blend the salsa "before" the mush  ....
Not that I use the same blender or nothing....
Remind me to hook ya up on the birdsnest also Nash.

Ill be there. Can I pay my dues at the meeting? Also Im not sure if you use the seafood mix from the Asian markets for the mash? If so I can bring some. Thats where I always get it from its way cheaper. There like alittle china town in the Boro that has really good prices! I also get dry seaweed there too.

i would like to come to the meeting as well. I too would like to pay my dues at the meeting. I am interested in watching you make the fish mash, however I wont need any because I havnt set up my tank yet.

Angela I wont be able to make it. My shift changed some and Im working on Sundays now. I wont get off till four but I'll give a call and if some people are still there I might swing by. Would like to see everyone. Hope it turns out great and I know they will LOVE your house.

i would like to be there but i don't get off until about 4 so i don't know if there would be anything going on by the time i could get there since i am coming from hendersonville

I don't know if I would be able to make it or not, but make me a large bag of food as well, John, bring that stuffs back for me!!!!!! Don't do like what that other dude did years back, got my food for me and never to be heard from again.....lol

I get most of the fresh seafood from the market off peytonsville and my nori also. Thanks for the offer but I will just get it all gathered and ready to process( rinsing the brine, myasis in RO...)

I don't see why you could'nt pay at the meeting if you choose not to do it online. I think the treasurer will be in attendance but if not I can accept the mony and mail it to him with the application filled out which you can download and already have filled out from the MTRC web page.

Also I want folks to know you do not have to be a member to attend a meeting so don't think you are uninvited since you haven't "officially" joined. Membership has its perks but is not required to get ot know other reefers in the area. You just miss out on awsome deals sometimes :) especially at the LFS meets!

Mike I will make sure you get your bag of mush :).
It is frozen thin in quart ziplock bags so you can snap off a section to feed and keeps a long time in the freezer so if you plan on having a tank up within the next few months it would be fine to get some. Its nice to offer your tank variety. Also if anyone want to have there own little cube maker trays at home they can take there bags and freeze them into cubes at home if they wanted. I have read folks useing eggcrate to do this. I just snap off what I need personally and have found freezing it thin works best to do this method with.

I will gather a bunch of stuff and make as much as it makes and make sure everyone gets at least one bag per request then sell off any extras for folks wanting more bags.

Anyone have a request for a special ingrediant? More coral frendly or fish food geared? Adding the coral feeding ingrediants is what can really jack the cost as you all who have bought coral target foods well know.

How about adding fresh garlic? They have them already peeled at krogers rather inexpensive..... Angela, do you remember awhile back when someone got a bag of food from you to bring back for me. I never got the food and he disappeared......LOL

Hi Angela!!
