Meeting on the 22nd and fish mush list!!

Sorry the date was so confusing to some of you! I was trying to accomodate the most people and just ended up confusing folks :). It looks like we will have a nice turn out and I will get plenty of fish mush ingrediants. It looks like I am going to have to make a huge batch so I will make a more fish only batch which will naturally be a little cheaper per bag and then a more coral targeted batch since we have such a large amount of folks wanting in. For a base point the bags typically run about $5 a bag to make up. I take a total list of cost and see how many 1 cup servings we get and do the math. I am ordering Coral frenzy today, my tank has always liked this stuff and I am almost out.

As far as people comming later its fine as long as we are wrapped up talking for the kids to get in bed at a decent hour for school :). So don't "not" come just because you can't make it till 4...like Wayne said, its more of a social gathering sometimes and can last quite awhile since we all become freinds as we get to know each other over the years and enjoy just hangin out with others who appriciate our passion.

My hubby had 3 guys over for the race yesterday and they hardley noticed the 270 gallons 3 feet away from the couch! CAN YOU BELIVE IT??? But, our hobby is just weird to lots of folks...including my hubby  What kills me is when a non-reef-geek comes over and is mezmarized by something as simple as the cool crabs and snails and kinda notices an anemonie and the "nemo" but might as well be looking in at a goldfish tank. Reefers enjoy getting together so we can appriciate each other and enjoy the amazing things we keep in our tanks.

I am also glad to see more gals getting involved. It was always amazing to me that it is a guy dominated hobby especially since typically the woman stays home with the kids and its a great hobby to spend time on. Maybe its just the men who log on to reef sites and all and its not a true representation of the amount of women who do it as a hobby. I
think its great to do it together as a couple hobby, my hubby has never even lifted a water jug hardley. Totally uninterested other than talking to his buddies like he is the master coral know it all when we have company. ;) I get tickeled at him explaining the tank and corals to folks... but don't contradict him out of respect, especially since they are clueless as him themselves. He has picked up on some lingo over the years but the main thing is he lets me have it and that is awsome!

well i think i am going to make even though i cant get there till about 4. I am really going to try and get there earlier though. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'm going to try to make it but I'm not sure if I will or not. My wife and two boys may come with me too.

RCmike, bring the family for sure! Your kids came to the last one but we have mopved since then. I like to see families do things together... Also I have the fish mush stuff... the oyster eggs for the SPS ers are a little tricky. They made my skimmer head fall off to nothing then BAM!!! overflow everywhere later. Like crazy bad so I am very glad I went with a in sump model skimmer!! This will not go in uless requested since it was a little pricey and a dab tricky to use :). Looks like I am at about 35 baggs!! Thats a lot of mush and so far looking to be abouit $5 a bag unless something changes and we don't add things like the oyser eggs...

Angela, i am so sorry but i wont be able to make the meeting after-all :( I was really looking forward to it.

Thanks
Jack

My wife and O are going to try, but have someone buyin some furniture from us tomorrow so if they cannot do it early then we will miss it.

I'm going to try to make it, though it looks unlikely. I do not need any mush, I would just be coming to meet some of you all.

Angela, do you still have your frogs? I'd be more interested in seeing them than your reef, hehe.

I'd like to come if you do not have too many people already. Need to work it out with my wife and make sure she can take the three kids. Need me to bring anything?

MVK We are a kid freindly home.. I have 3 under 7 ;) so bring the wife and kids! My 2.5 year old will be here but the other 2 are going out with dad. I have all the drinks and snacks covered... just light foods and desserts.. tea, coffee and sodas..

False Ideals, Yes I have 2 tanks up and am real pleased with how they turned out! All frogs are in one tank right now, 2 kinds Lucs and a some black with green stripe variety babies from Chris (ckreef) who hatched the eggs and grew them :).

If anyone was wanting mush and can't make it see if someone can spot you and meet you tonight with it that lives close. If I have enouph that is... I have gobbs of stuff but it never seems to go far as you hope!!

Do you happen to have a final list of ingredients, Angela? From the other thread it sounds like this stuff is awesome! :)

Brandon
