Mike to answer to your question on the raffle. This is how it works so far (since our president was out getting drunk instead of running the meeting we decided to have this make it up as we go rule

Now for this to work, our marketing person have to start soliciting our sponsor and nail down some stuff for the next meeting. I think Bob should be our Marketing person don't you think ?
Ok here it is: The vendors who are supporting our club will donate frags or goods for the raffle. Also this time around some of the club members will also be donating frags of something cool to the raffle.
Everyone who attended the meeting and are participating in the raffle will buy in at $10 for two tickets. One of the ticket will go into a hat to draw for the general raffle where everyone of those ticket will guarantee a prize. The other ticket will gointo another hat for the drawing of the grand prize and only one of those ticket can be a winner. If we have a large number of frags then their will be more tickets available for purchase. We are not limited by just Frag and reef good for the raffles, I think we could also do Wine, or non reef related things that could be used for reefing such as towels, rubber gloves, srync, hospital IV dripper ect :lol:
The money that is raised through these raffle will then be used to spent at the sponsors for goodies when we have our 1st annual "participating" members only frag swap/end of year party. Bod also had a good idea of using the money to buy gift certificate at our sponsor and raffle those off. So for those members that haven't been participating, this is an incentive for you to start being active again.
