i am aware of the november meeting at dzones house, but where is the december meeting being held or is it the december meeting/ xmas party all in one-- but where and when?

i can't make the drive to humboldt-- but maybe i can make the december spot-- i would really love to go to dzones house, but on a saturday evening is not feasible with my work schedule

The December meeting is the christmas party and it is usually held at Fox Ridge Pizza on Germantown Parkway.
We get a side "party" room to ourselves and they just keep bringing the food as long as we keep eating it.
There are also lots of prize giveaways

i'm trying to see if anyone would mind if we went somewhere different this year,i know this place called CHOW TIME its buffett style,it has everything from chinese,mexican,to home cooking with salad & desert bar,we will have our own room,its only 5 mins from richards store mempfish,its on 385 & hacks cross RD,the address is 4207 hacks cross RD 38125,if anyone wants to map quest it,its in between olive branch and richards store,up the street from cracker barrel,

This was discussed at the meeting, and I think the minutes are on the new website!

its a nice place it has freshwater aquariums with bamboo in with the fish,its almost to the ceiling,its not a fancy place or froo froo, just a wide variety of food,something for everyone,

I believe it was voted at the meeting in October (as stated in the minutes) that it would be put on the table for next year and that this year would remain the same as it has been.

Boy I sure wish we had a better turn out of people at the meetings.

well i ask david to bring it up at the oct meeting and see where it goes,if it would be best to wait till next year im fine with that,i just didn't think it made any difference where it was,everyone knows me im as laid back as they come,what ever is best for the club is fine with me,

The last 2 parties have been at Fox Ridge so a change would be nice. I dont see a problem with a change of location as long as there is a room big enough to hold everyone. I would say it is up to the officers to decide the location. Sometimes the democratic approach is a bit slow and unwieldy.

That's the point, Del. We didn't have enough people or resources at the meeting to try and change anything and no one there was familiar with the new place to give us information so we opted to just go with he usual and try to start farther ahead to make a change for next year.

The other part of the discussion was that Fox Ridge, which is near Wolfchase, is pretty central for the membership. Is there a back way for Jackson people to get to Collierville other than around 240 and via Nonconnah? If not, the new place would add about 20 minutes to the hour drive for our Jackson folk.

I'm fine with change. It just didn't seem right to try and make it with so few of us there to vote. On the other hand, it can turn into a mess if we try to decide it with a drawn out discusson on RC.
