MegaBite's 180 & Shallow Reef

I'm missing the hobby BIG TIME!

Just put a contract on a new house and have a spot picked out for a new tank! I will even have room for a fish room! Can't wait!

Taq, it's good to hear from you man. I've been on your thread checking it out. Looks great. Seems you're having some adjusting issues with the LED's. Hope it is short lived and as much success as you had with your other tanks. Your set up was very nice!

Also, I will probably want to talk to you about re-creating a reef being that you've just gone through it. I'm sure kyou have great insight or some do's and don't.

PS - Taq has a great new build thread here: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1861593

was a "fish room" a stated requirement for the realtor?

LOL. It wasn't, but I found one that works out anyways. Living in Florida all my life, I didn't know about basements. A finished basement has TONS of room for an aquarium and the house we picked out has great storage areas behind the basement walls for a fish room. 3000+ sq. ft. homes rule!

New Tank

New Tank

Got a new tank! Finally going to get going again at my new place in Wichita, KS! Man I miss it!

Yay! What size?

I wanted to go BIG but decided against it for now. Just not ready so I'm going with a 60 gallon cube (24"X 24" X 24"). Never tried this format and figured it would have it's challenges with aquascaping and all that. We will see how it goes. Hope your tank is doing well. Did you get a 180?

great news keep us posted and dont forget to start a build thread.

Will do. Thanks.

Here's a couple of the "starting to do things" pics. Water test and cleaning sand.

The cat thought it was cool.....
