Mel has a tank hip hip hooray

YAY!!! But nope...but I'm putting the stand together today...some friends of ours were at the house when I got back last night.

My biggest problems right now are a) lack of live rock and b) no buckets to move water.

Since I got rid of all my buckets I have no way to transport 34g of water from the LFS.

So...even if I set it up it'll basically be a big living room ornament until I can get everything I need. Dang it. BUT...it's hard to see that as a negative thing since I at least have a tank now!

WOOHOO MEL!!! That's great news, new tank and you didn't even have to buy it! (Well of course you had to enter the raffle I would imagine!) Let us know if there is anything we can do to help, i.e. toss in a piece of LR or coral frag here and there!

Man...I was hoping...but I honestly didn't think I'd win. I always put a bunch of raffle tickets into the nano cube boxes. This time, I figured there was no way I'd win since I never have before...I just didn't think it was a real possibility.

I honestly just bought raffle tickets to support the MTRC's swap.

Don't get me wrong...I'm friggin' ecstatic that I did win...but yeah...didn't think I really would.

Get this...Jack shared my *story* with the guys at Red Sea and now the CEO wants to contact me! Crazy, huh?

Please keep us posted on that. Wow. Karma is a funny thing.....

Congrats, Mel. Be sure to share the story with the Red Sea guy -- he might throw in some extras.

I have a spare bucket if you need one -- perhaps two soon if I finish up with my near-empty salt bucket this week.

Scott...I'd LOVE to have buckets!

I can even just borrow some from you guys if you need them back. I would like to have a couple, but need like seven or eight to haul the water from the LFS (or any of my friendly neighborhood reefers houses that have RO systems...HINT HINT).

I'll bring one to my office off of Cedar Bluff and leave it there until I figure out how to get it to you, then. :)

I'm not easy to get to, being that I'm out freaking south...but I can run by your houses if it means getting free buckets. I mean...I need them...if they're there...then I'll just come get them. Ya know?

I have several buckets. Gotta check in the shed to see exactly how many but btwn 3-7. I also have ro/di so I could provide buckets full of water :d I'd throw salt in but I think I'm on my last bucket. Gotta check the shed for that too - I'm thinking I may still have a bucket of unopened Kent.

I'm in for two or three buckets if we group buy.

I have like 9 empty buckets but only 4 lids. (it's fricking freezing out there). Since my routine of making up water usually involves flooding the laundry room it may take a few days to fill them up. If you just want the buckets and lids you can come by anytime after 6pm. I have other "tubs" that arent exactly water tight that will probably get you near the 34g capacity you need. Issue is lifting them when full...
