Melanurus wrasse in acclimation box

Long story short, two weeks ago I got a melanurus wrasse, it died after a few days because something picked on it and ate its fins. As far as I can tell it was none of the fish, I had never seen anything pick on it, it just popped out of the sand one evening without a side fin. There was some speculation that maybe a emerald crab got to it while it was getting adjusted, so this time I will be using an acclimation box.
I plan on getting a pair of them and putting them in a large acclimation box for a few days until I see them swimming around actively. My question is should I try and put a small rubbermaid container of sand in the acclimation box or just a piece of pvc or something?

How big is this acclimation box? PVC might be a good idea since I'm assuming the box puts the wrasse in close proximity with the lighting.

Lets see some pics!!
Melanurus are beautiful.

I don't have the exact dimensions on the box yet, I am picking it up from a friend tomorrow but he uses it to introduce large angels so it should be big enough.
No pictures yet, the fish don't get here until Saturday.

these acclimation box really works great and highly recommend everyone to have one. my powder brown(in tank for 3 months) was harassing my false personifer angel nonstop when i added it. i threw the powder brown in the acclimation box for a week. after i released the powder brown, he didnt even give the angel a second look.

Thanks for the dimensions. :D
I knew it would be big enough for the two of them I am just not sure if I should add a little container of sand for the two of them to hide in.

Hmmm put something with sand on it that is big enough for him to fit inside the acclimatation box..or he will probably brake is mouth trying to hide at night...they sleep in sand and you can't change that

Alot of people use pvc,so they can hide in it. Otherwise it will probably stress out, like said above, trying to find somewhere to hide.

I drilled some holes in one of those critter carriers. Not pretty, but it works and there $5 and avail at any pet store.
