Ahh... thats why my next stand is going to be 2" steel stock powder coated blue and covered with the venecia line of cabinetry from kraftmaid... you know... the super gloss cabinet doors. Less work and more life.

Marc, what can I do to help this guy?

And that's how pics of your supplies can come back to haunt you!

I was hoping that someone would notice, but after the split, I thought it was lost forever:lol:

Now look what y'all did. I have to resubscribe to my own thread!

Those supplies are slightly less as I've had to make saltwater a few times. I did add a new bucket of the Sea Sea Pro Reef salt, which I've not opened nor tested yet.

dcombs44 - If you can turn off the pumps for 10 minutes, I'd squirt some thawed cyclop eeze at that coral so it can get a meal. It has a mouth in the center, deep within the head.

Hi again, question #2 for the day. My clown has what looks like a possible parasite on the right side of him in the dead center of his body. It doesn't look like ich or (from my research) an isopod. What are some other possibilities that it could be? I'll try to get a pic, but that may be next to impossible. Keep in mind my fish were not in the greatest shape when I picked them up from the "babysitter". So far I only see one, but I'll look a bit closer.

Thanks as always for your help.

It could be some white cottony stuff called Lymphocistis. Believe it or not, you can actually pluck it off and treat it with iodine for a few seconds, then drop the fish back in the tank. I did it once. Do more research to make sure you know what you are dealing with.

I'm not positive, but it seems like when I don't resubscribe after a split, I don't get notifications from that thread any longer. I may be wrong, but this keeps me up on the latest.

RGibson, I lowered the water level in my skimmer and I'm still getting good skimmate. I'm sure with both impellars, I could lower it even more.

I'm pretty sure I've seen lymphocistis before. I thought it formed around the gills, but I may be wrong. I don't think that is what this is, but I will further investigate, and of course, watch for more to pop up. In the mean time I'll hope he's healthy enough to fight it off.

Thanks again.

It appeared on my Copperband Butterfly on several of its fins and tail back in Jan/Feb of this year.

dcombs44: And check your alkalinity. LPS often (in my case) react to dips in alkalinity. I have 3 that are in distress after my kalk stirrer snafu this week. My alkalinity dropped to 7.0 and I have recorded similar past events which have taken out LPS. If it is low, dose baking soda to bring it back up.
