More great pictures! When you have time, how about a shot of the entire tank;)

I will, maybe when I get back this weekend. I'd like to scrape more coralline off first, and just give the tank a little cleaning overall.

Apologies if I missed this info somewhere, what is the blue coral at the centre of this picture?

Marc, extremely nice tank. I want to build one just like it. Could you pm me the dimensions and what all I'd need. I'm not to good with acrylic just yet, I have a few pieces from my local home depot that I'm using in my 5.5 pico tank, link if you want to maybe give me some advice on it, http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1509392, the stocking plans have changed, and the stand turned out like crap, im rebuilding the canopy and the stand with a nice oak wood, and ill have my dad do it for me, he's a great woodworker.

I've skimmed over every 5th page... looks good :D

Just curious: why didn't you use a light with more blue in it?

I answered that on the pages you skipped.

I would have figured the specs were posted in this thread on the first page. It is 24" wide, 16" tall, and 12" deep. The front angle was the trickiest part, because I wanted to build it with to glued pieces instead of a heated bend. I remember wishing I'd remembered math class better to get the angle, instead of the guesswork method I employed with paper and pencil.

This isn't a good tank to build if you aren't good at gluing acrylic, because with its shape there are several points of failure. I'm pleased that it it still holding water, as my seams were less than perfect.

Love the tank! Great Idea!

Thanks. I saw a similar one on www.reefvideos.com and wanted one myself. The one in that video is much prettier.

then, i wont build this tank. I need some acrylic help though, I'm building a tank, a cube, i can pm you dimensions or whatever if you can help me out but I am curious about working with acrylic. I will only need to cut a small amount as the tank will be 11x14x14 i think, ill have to double check my measurements and the drawing. ill shoot you a pm and perhaps you can give me some pointers, im also reading your website for tips and stuff

That's a better plan. You can start a build thread of your own here on RC, perhaps in the DIY forum. Be sure to read the Tools page on my site, as it helps a lot with your planning. There are a few pages that go into construction too.
