anyony else have issues with the splash guard on the 24 dx melting under stock lighting and a 12 hr photo period?

I've got the 12dx... but no problems with a melting splash guard. That would be the first time i've ever heard of it.

I keep my lights on for about 10 hours and while the splash guard definitely gets warm, it is nowhere near melting temp. I couldn't imagine that another 2 hours would bring it to that level. Maybe you have some sort of electrical short in there that is causing a lot more heat?

I would call JBJ. They just replaced my entire hood becausee of a moonlighting issue, but they were alot of help.
