Merten's?

Just picked this up from the LFS. Sold generically as "carpet." It is an amazing green color. My iPad pics are not so good. Took them right after acclimation. Has spots all the way down the column. Only 3-4 inches across. Appears to be a Merten's to me. I have a Haddoni and Gig. Does not resemble either to my eyes. The tenticle colorings have a random pattern as I have seen in Merten's pics as well. I will try to get better pics tomorrow.

They're a beautiful anemone, and I'd personally love to see more pics of it anyways! Only if you're planning on going there anyways...

I agree that it is a pizza. Had forgotten they even exist. I was asking just to get feedback about what it is like to own one. It is very small and beautiful.

Even with lights out it has expanded a lot more and moved down to sit right next to my Haddoni.

SUPER sticky. I love the tentacle shapes of it. Beautiful coloration too. Once that acclimates, it will get some really nice contrasting colors to it. I wish it was more fish friendly, it was a real problem in my 210 with my fish. Mine got to about a foot diameter, and would easily snag a fish. I swear, it knows where to plant itself, right in a high fish traffic area. Mine liked up on the rocks, with it's foot planted in a hole up in the rock work. Color will get sharp contrast with MH lights. Mine liked bright light.

It's a really cool anemone you don't see often. Congrats!

Thanks! I got to see the colors at the LFS. Stunning. It seemed too attractive to be a Merten's. I was still hoping that is what it was though, but I am definitely happier it is a pizza.

Looks great! It's got a potent sting, so it's neighbors may not like it much. I really like how the edge tentacles are different from the inside tents. I'd love to see it as it's color intensifies.

The haddoni seems ok at this point. I will watch closely though. It is much greener than it appears in the pics. Something to do with my Kessil's or my iPad, everything looks bleached or lighter in my pics. The haddoni looks almost white in the pic and it is actually biege/tan with white stripes.
