I am looking for someone who sells mesh wheels for my skimmer. Its the Octo. DNWB-110. I have also heard of people modding the pin wheel. So if someone wouldnt mind droppin some knowledge on this subject Id appreciate it.

Bill has contact with the guy who makes them for ATB and others.....he's your man to check with and alot less to purchase from as well.

Not sure on your Octo, but the mesh-mod is the most popular. Your best bet would be to get an extra pinwheel, cut off the pins, and zip tie some mesh to it. That's about all there is to it. If you search around on the board (use Google if you need to), you should find several examples. Almost all mesh mods are pretty much the same.

If you'd like to see one, here's the thread from where I did my CSS65: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1374408

And here's the Octo Mod Thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=898776

That should be quite a bit to get you started. :)

His skimmer Is a new model and should have a Pinwheel, You can throw 1 layer of mesh on these without cutting anything. Not sure how much It will help on a sm body though!

And with all of the startup issues that the mesh adds to these particular pumps, I'd be real hesitant to do that mod.

I'v ran three layers on one of these pumps with little to no start up Issues. The Issue Is weather It's of benifit or not for the Pinwheels work fairly well out of the box so to say...

I did this mod to my skimmer today with good results, it does have some start up issues because of it but I didnt use enkamat just some other mesh I had laying around, I ordered some enkamat today and I am going to swap the mesh when it gets here, hopefully that helps with the start up problem.
