Mesoscope 2

I recently purchased the mesoscope 2 (basically a suction cup mounted microscope) which mounts to the tank glass and allows for unbelievable macro focus on the tanks contents. The unit is supposedly compatible with DSLR cameras via an included adapter but i have been unable to figure out how to attach a camera to the unit. No instructions were included with the mesoscope either.

Has anyone successfully used a mesoscope 2 with a camera? If so, how does the DSLR connect to the mesoscope?

If i bypass the mesoscope, any suggestions for photographing with only violet and blue LED lights? Does the UV limitation on most DSLR cameras need to be deactivated first?

thanks in advance for any information

upon further review i was in error regarding the mesoscope camera attachment. it can only be attached via a C mount attachment.

C Mount Camera or DSLR

I have finally figured out how to attach the mesoscope 2, via a C mount adapter, to either a C Mount camera or a DSLR camera. Does anyone have any experience using either of these camera types to capture images from basically a microscope. I wouldnt be using any lenses with either camera, relying exclusively on the optics in the mesoscope.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Sorry, haven't worked with one. I would be interested in hearing about your experiences and seeing your results. Please keep posting. Thank you.

Hi, I'm pretty sure JPMagyar has a mesoscope, and I think he captures images through it. He has a big thread called:

He has been going through some family health issues and hasnt been posting lately but you could try to PM him.

PS If you ever want to sell your mesoscope, please let me know. Or if you had any interest in renting it out / loaning it out with full deposit, also let me know.
The company that makes these had a problem with their supplier, and is not making them now.
