Messed up drilling overflow hole for sump (20G Long)

So I bought a 20G long and decided to add a sump. I drilled 2 holes, 1 for the return and another for the overflow. It's my first time doing something like this, anyways I decided to free hand drill the holes (dumb idea) but did it anyways. The return hole came out decent, but the overflow hole looks like **** lmao. Chip, crooked and scratches all over the damn place. I don't mind buying another tank since it's dirt cheap but the problem is i removed the top black trim for that nice rimless look. I do not want to do that again since it took time to remove the silicone, residue and polish (4 hour to be exact). Should I just patch the hole with silicon? Will it leak or crack the tank in the future? I'll post pictures of front and back of the hole.
