and came up with this pic. what does everyone think? it was taken with a old canon point and shoot. i forget which model, its a 5 megapixel though.

5 megapixlel is fine for taking pictures it will look just as good as a 8 megapixel unless you want to blow up the picture

i thought so as well when i first got him, but i'm not sure. i always thought the desjardin's had a more bright yellow stripe to them, he has them too but they arent as bright as some pics i have seen but he def. doesnt look like your run of the mill salfin you see everyday though. plus this guy is crazy, if you arent looking at the tank he turns almost completely black i tried to sneak a pic of it but he started to lighten up as soon as i got up to the tank. thats why the wife and i both named him mj or michael jackson, one minute black the next white, and loves swimming with lil fishies lol sorry bad joke.

i did get him off of rob (leviclar) so maybe he can chime in and give more detail about him. he unfortunately wasnt home when i made the trip to pick him up. i was going to ask his wife but doubted she would know lol.

I think they are one of my favorites...asside from an achilles which I can't have in my tank, definitely my favorite tang. Mine singlehandedly keeps algea from growing on over 125 pounds of live rock situated throughout my tank. He also plays nice with all the other fishes I've put into the tank.
 
That is by far my fav. fish in your tank. Love it.

Your camera is only 5 megapixels? My phone is 5 lol
 
Yea my salfin is a gentle giant. He gets beat up by my much smaller maroon clowns.


And sirus, i did get that camera almost 5 yrs ago lol. Trying to show the wife i am interested in photography so i can upgrade lol

i have a Nikon D100 that has been sitting around for a while. it just needs a flash. you can google the camera for the info and make me an offer if you want. Its digital but I dont know the specs, I know that it is a VERY good camera, though.

it doesnt have a built in flash? when i google'd that camera it said it has a pop up one?
 
Hmm let me double check. That would be surprising though and I would feel like a complete tool. I'll get back to you.
 
Wow. I feel dumb. My father in-law gave me the camera 2 years ago and it has been sitting on the shelf because I didn't want to spend the money on a flash (it can take an additional flash on top). It didn't come with the book. Now I can play with it. It was just too easy to carry around one of those little pocket cameras or my iPhone. It looks like I will be posting fish pics too...After I read the book.
