messing with new camera tank pics

Here are some pics of my humble 45 gallon taken last week. I call it the LR tank because there is so much in there, lol. I got a great deal on some beautiful LR and I didn't want to risk not putting into a tank until I get the 150 finished so, I crammed it all in. I also have a bunch of cool base rock and coral skeleton being cleaned that will also go to the 150. The coral skeleton in the pics has already got specks of coralline (sp?) growing on it. The tank has been up since 10/22. Inhabitants are the Royal Gramma we named Dotty, a peppermint shrimp I only see at night with a flashlight, 10 Nassarius snails, and about a dozen or so hermits. There is also a ton of stuff on the LR. Sorry about the pics and the wrong date but you get the idea. I'll get some better ones later. Let me know what you think so far.

Thanks! Do you guys think I have enough LR, lol? Seriously, any idea what the green stuff is above the Gramma in the 1st pic? Algae or some kind of polyp maybe?

Nice pics! Just a tip from taking a lot of pictures of my tank. If you shoot the pictures from an angle you will not see the flash reflection

Heh Laura - some nice looking rock you got there. Looking forward to seeing pics of the 150 when you get it up and running.

If I remember right and looking at your pics, I think there was a lot of sponge growth on the rock. Is it soft to the touch?

Thanks Guys! Cjgigalante, I will try going from an angle on the next set. I appreciate any little tips like that. The black sand is alot cleaner now. It was pretty gross looking in those pics.

Hey Alfa!!! This rock is awesome and loaded with worms of all kinds, featherdusters, tiny brittle stars, a slug, pods, and some unidentified anemone looking things. The green patch is soft to the touch but it looks alot different than the other types of sponge. The coral beauty is also doing well despite my friend moving on New Year's Eve. Her colors really came out once she wasn't stressed and she's gorgeous. The margins around her fins look electric blue. As for the 150, I'm really close and itching to get it running. I still need to pick up a skimmer and I need a stand. I'm not sure when exactly when I'll finish it though. I bought some more stuff for the 150 but the Dr. told me my hand did not heal. The bones are still 1/2" apart so I have to have those 2 surgeries. :(
