Metal Stand Question for 330 Gallon

I am just getting started on a stand for a 84"x36"x25"tall glass tank.
I am concerned about being able to level the tank once it is on the stand.
It is kinda a catch 22 though because I also want to stay away from leaving impressions on our fir wood floor if, god forbid, i were to ever take the tank down.
I was going to overcome the impressions by making the stand out of 2"x1/4"thick square tube and have the square tubing go all the way arounf the foot print so I would have more contact area to displace the weight. I was also going to lay a piece of plywood on the floor underneather the stand but, this is just my paranoid inexpierienced opinion, there is a whole lot of weight there by the time everything is said and done and I am not sure what "plywood" or base would hold up and or be best to put under the stand or if that was even the thing to do.
I would like to incorporate some sort of leveling set-up in the stand but I am thinking that if I had 6 legs total that is obvioulsy where the leveling would be being done but then that would be focusing all the total weight once set-up on those six points.

Can I get some help on this, pics of existing, drawings, suggestions, telling me I am crazy....anything would help.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Justan, here is my metal stand measured 103x48x44 made out of 3" x 1/4" thick square tubing. As for the plywood, i use Birch 3/4". My stand don't have leveling feet because i don't think it can handle that much of weight with the tank full of water and rock. I will level it with home depot shim... BTW, my stand come with 6 pieces top, bottom and 4 supporting legs. I can disassemble the stand to move it around....

Thanks that helps.
Where do you shim it up from?
What did you use from the top of the stand up?
Metal stand, then plywood, then foam or just metal stand and then foam?
What kind of foam do you recommend?

I will use the shim on the bottom between the floor and stand.

Metal stand, then plywood, then foam or just metal stand and then foam?
Metal stand, 3/4" plywood and 1" styro foam

I just use home depot stuff. I was going to use Neoprene but i decided to use styrofoam instead.

spOok, that is a good thread. It seems to have answered a lot of my questions.
I kinda thought this would've been covered in another thread already but until my premium membership goes through I sometimes have a hard time searching.
I actually got a PM from an expierienced guy right local to me and he had some good things to say as well.
