Meteor(ite) sightings 2011...

So, besides lightning/thunder, my favorite natural event is meteor(ite) sightings. Every spring/summer I will sit out on the lawn chair with a beer or 5 and wait until I see at least 3 streams.

Anyone have links to meteor showers, events or simply to share the meteor love?

Mavx! The Perseids Meteor shower in August. We were at a friends in Florida and laid out on his dock beers in hand (hard to drink laying on your back!). The lake was small, almost zero light pollution. It was spectacular. We saw dozens, if not hundreds that night. And I can't tell you how many satellites we saw as well. Very cool!! Caught the aurora borealis one night in the Adirondacks too, very cool as well!
