Meter Calibration and Water Testing

Not Quite Right
The April 11th meeting is shaping up. Bring along your hydrometers, digital ph meters and refractometers and we will calibrate them and test your water. Oh, bring a sample of water with you too.

This will be a good chance to make sure your test kits are working as expected by comparing readings to the test kits we use All remaining test kits will be raffled off at the end of the meeting.

The results of testing will tie in with our guest speaker at the Coral Conference who will be talking about water chemistry. Check out the official SEASL CORAL CONFERENCE site for more information

See you there

This is an awesome idea. I have always used RO to calibrate my refractometer which I know is not the correct procedure but it gets me close.

Will there be a demo showing how to make the refractometer calibration fluid or is it a store bought fluid?

I kind of doubt some of my other test kits so it will be nice to see how close they are.

what is the best thing to use to bring in water to test. I am worried about contaminants
