Methylene Blue

Has a velvet outbreak in my tank, moved my remaining fish to a hospital tank to treat them and wait for the parasites to die in my main tank. I got methylene blue to treat the fish in the hospital tank. The methylene blue tells how much to put in the water but not for how long/often. How long should I leave it in before changing out the water, and how much water should I change at a time?

With the fish that can handle it!

With those that "allergic" to CP (Seahorses, Pipefish, certain Wrasses,...) you have to use copper and hope it works.

I bought methylene blue because the section of this site said that was best for dips and baths to take care of the problem. I'd like to avoid copper if I can, I'm worried of using too much and accidentally harming the fish. Both fish I have in the hospital tank have been in there for a few days and have shown no signs of velvet, so I'm thinking of holding off and just monitoring them and treating them only if I see it show up.

It's plain toxic to them - they die.
