Mexican Snails Died

Has anybody had this problem. I'm not overly upset by it because they used to bulldoze the tank and nock everything over but was wondering the reason. I have had them ever since I started up the tank, about 7 months. I had an algae outbreak of what looked like a mix of diatom/slime algae and some hair algae. Total of 5 withered away, seems like they got weak. My other atrea snails are fine. I think the aglae was toxic to them only but not sure. All corals and fish are also fine. Alk 8, nitrates 5, salinity 1.023, calcium 350, temp 76-79, mag 1000, might I add I know alk mag and cal is low but my dendras hate when I dose. Using warner marine mag cal stron, esv two part and seachem 8.4, kent iodine and test all. Any ideas ?

I don't believe it's unusual as once the algae is gone so goes the snail.

Some reason have a lone surviver perhaps adjusted his diet, been over a year now, most active at night.

They very well have come from temperate water conditions. The average SW tank temp shortens their life span.
