Hello just wondering If anyone has a recommended resort to stay at in Mexico that has good snorkeling right in front of resort.
Last year stayed in hualtulco at the secrets and directly in front of the rooms was some good reef.
We also ventured out from the resort but it was nice to be able to go directly from room to reef:)
Thank for any input. Brad

You can stay the the Westin Resort in Cancun. The reef is a sort beach walk to the south. It's a beautiful little reef and if you bring your own gear you can go everyday for FREE.

Hi,

I have stayed at the Barcleo Maya Beach resorts (the Beach and the Tropical) and the Grand Palladium Resorts (White Sands) and although snorkeling is decent at the Palladium, hands down the Barceló is incredible right off the beach-- especially in front of the Tropical/Colonial and in front of the Palace.
Now I've seen YouTube videos from JCVdude (look him up) and he had vids from those two locations and the Grand Sirenis. I've never been to the GS but the snorkeling there is incredible but I don't believe the resort is as nice as at the Barceló or Palladium.
Of course if you aren't into nice resorts and abundant choices of food and multiacre pools, then check out the Akumal Beach resort in Akumal. It's smaller and not as luxurious but it's located in Akumal, home to some of the best off beach snorkeling in the Rivieria maya....
I've done tons of research looking for the best off beach snorkeling and those are what I've found in my travels and studies.....
