Mg/L to PPM

I picked up a calcium test kit. The test kit measures milligrams per liter. I want to convert that to ppm. Any help would be great.

For the most part it's 1 mg/L = 1 ppm


mg/L (milligram per liter)

Milligram per L is a unit of concentration often used for chemicals in aquaria. For chemical concentrations in freshwater, 1 mg/L is approximately 1 ppm (= 1 mg/kg). For chemical concentrations in seawater, where 1 L weighs approximately 1.023 kg, 1 mg/L is approximately 0.978 ppm (= 0.978 mg/kg).

Okay, thanks I guess my calcium is way high then.

Maybe it's Meq/L. Which Calcium test kit is it?

The test kit is an instant ocean. It is definitely mg/L
