I just graduated from Power Compact and successfully installed a 250W HQI MH mini pendant. The shimmering is amazing. I was wondering about the breakin time for a MH bulb. What happens during this breakin time? Does the intensity or color change?
Halide bulbs usually have a break in time of 100 hours of use.
The bulbs color will change after it starts to break in.
After a years time the intensity will become less, so they should be replaced once a year.
