Does anyone know how to tell if the mechanical ballast on my MH light are going bad? I recently replaced my MH bulbs. The Left one is a very bright white (10K Hamilton’s) The other bulb has a yellow cast to it, It seems the light is not as "hot" as the other. How can you tell if the ballast is bad?

Try swapping bulbs.

I have done this in the past, I was looking for a better way to judge if a ballast was going bad.
