my current set up. dual reef fanatics E-ballasts with SE 250watt Coralvue 12K bulbs
I have no supplimental lighting as they are what I like in color a white/blue look
one of my ballasts has not been firing the bulb on the first 5 trys for quite some time and I feel it prematurely ended the life of the bulb and the ballast (both are dead as a type)
I'm waiting to see what premium aquatics has to offer in line of warranty ( i already know I'll have to work directly with reef fanatics) the ballast is exactly 90 days old.
a few questions:
1) has anyone worked with reef fanatics and are they helpful in solving problems or offer a quick solution to problem?
2)the coralvue bulb 12K in my opinion does not exhibit a very good growth of corals. Is there a bulb out there that is White with a touch of blue out there where I wouldnt need supplimental lights that would also offer slightly better growth? Ive seen the sites with the pictures of the different bulbs. Thats gets one in the ballpark but I was hoping that maybe some people have been through the types of bulbs Im using and then found a great alternative, if there is one..
