I know Aquatic Eco has 5500K 400wmh bulbs on sale for $25ea. I personally wouldn't want a 5500K over my tank but different people like different things.

Those would probably be pretty good for hydroponics, though, huh? When I was over at the fish bowl they had 400W bulbs in. Any fish store either has them or can get them...

Yep, thats what they are normally used for but I have read some posts on here where people are using the 5500k with a bunch of actinics to get the desired color. There just super cheap for a 400 watt bulb. I got my bulbs(400w XM) off of Dr. foster smith. I think it was like $45 or something per bulb and it's the same price for 250w and 400w.
