MH lights-how high?

Building my own suspended rack to hold three 3 250 watt Radiums and 4 80 T5 (2 ATI True Actinic and 2 Coral Plus) over my 180 DT (72 long) SPS and LPS. How high AWL (above water line) would have the lamps?

My MH current fixtures are attached to the ceiling of the canopy and are 13 inches AWL. With the new rack to hold the fixtures and suspend the T-5's the lights can be no more than 11 inches AWL

11" is fine, I wouldn't go any lower so your light spread stays fairly even and for maintenance issues.

My 400w MH are 15" AWL to allow for 32"x32" spread.

I am using Hamilto Cabo Minis and need a spread of 22x22.

Think I'll just stick with 11"
