MH Problem

I have 2 400W pendants on my tank. One of them has stopped working. I've tried switching out the bulbs, and switching the cords from the ballast. Is it likely the socket that is the problem? Anything else? I hate to buy a new socket just for it to still not work.

if you only have one ballast & the bulb worked in the other socket, then it almost seems a foregone conclusion that it's the socket right?

there are wires that go to the socket. look for a culprit there. sometimes the wires dont fully ground and complete the circut
