MH Question?

I have a 20 gal AGA. Just got a MH pendant, 175 watts , with a 13k bulb. I have had a PC 65 watt 50/50 light on the tank for the last 6 months. I had the PC running 10 hrs a day. Should I not run the the MH that long? Everything seems to be doing ok so far.

best way to do it would be to hang the pendant way high off the water and slowly lower it every day or two. light exposure time isnt everything, u have to take into account the difference in intensity.

my $0.02

Another good way for MH acclimation is simple window bug screen. Add a couple layers over the tank to diminish the intensity. You can keep the same lighting period. Just take a layer off every couple days and no problems. If you give them the full blast of MH without acclimation, you may kill off the corals.
