MH Question

First off, no I am not going to start a pot farm, but

Has anyone ever pulled a plant in for the winter and set it next to their tank so it would get enough light?

I don't have any windows that get a southern exposure, so my indoor plants die a pretty grizzly death (and I forget to water...but if I was topping off, i'd give them a water right then too)

I'd like to keep my parsley, basil and oregano going through the winter for spaghetti sauce.

Anyone have any luck?

lol,,,,
yes you can grow your stuff inside Jen ,,, i wouldnt use MH though
get terrarium grow lights single end bulbs or double end tubes , WAY less watts and better growth inside , the par value is way less that MH and better for the growth of your plants , with MH you will need to water them every hour or have the light WAY above the plants

She is talking about setting it next to her tank to get spill over light, which we have done in the past and the spill over works great, not putting them directly under the MH

I keep my herbs near a south window in my house....never had a prob...use the miracle grow potting soil mix....water when dry or once a week....
