Hi guys...
I have 2 250 MH lights.
I am by no stretch of the imagination a lighting expert, but I did run into an issue.
I had my old bulbs that fired up, no problem.
I have electronic ballasts that are good for 270w, or so they say.
I had my old bulbs on a timer and they'd fire up, no problem.
The new replacement bulbs (got from lighting dudes after positive thoughts here online) and they fired up right away as well.
Day two, one bulb came on with the timer, 2nd light did not. I switched out to the old bulb, and that worked fine.
Today, the new bulb that worked today didn't, but the old did.
So, I flipped the switch on and off two times on the ballast and it fired up.
I know there is a "break in" period with bulbs, but my question is this:
Is it my ballast or is it the bulb likely at fault?
I am leaning toward the bulb, as my old bulbs fired up and the ballast is measured to 270w...but just my questions.
Thanks!
