Hello everyone!

I am staying in Miami at the moment and I am looking for a nice place to do a little snorkeling (from the shore). I am looking for rocks and jetties with clear water in particular. I also need a nice place for the girls to lay out.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Drive north to Lauderdale by the Sea... One of the nicest locations for Snorkeling / Diving from the Shore in that area.

Yes, I have the perfect place for you. It's in Sunny Isles Beach, 19201 Collins Avenue, north side of the Ramada, public parking lot there. A manmade reef is about 25 yards off shore in 10 feet of water. Runs for about 125 yards in the swim zone, dont' even need a flag.

Also you can go anywhere off Dania or Hollywood Beach,(Especially north of Sheridan Street. but you need a flag. The reefs there are further out, swimable, but outside the swim zone, you will need a flag.

Oh, you can see the reef from shore at the Sunny Isles location. Lots of Angelfish, some eels, sometimes a nurse shark, lots of other tropical fish also. I caught 2 lionfish there also. I think there is still one left.
