michaelmmreef01's 125g Reef Build

Hello,

As some of you may know, one of my tanks is a 125g. This will just be a build thread for it. :)

I currently have a Blue Hippo Tang, Scopas Tang, and a Clownfish. I also think I have a pistol shrimp (haven't seen him since being in tank, 3/4 inches however). He came with a pair of Yasha Gobies. One jumped last night, and the other is not in sight anywhere. I hope the other one is still okay in the tank somewhere.

As for coral I only have an Aussie Acan Lord in there currently, but the plan is to have lots of coral eventually.

For the first update, I got 100 lbs of base rock in today. :) I will most likely wash that off and put it in the tank this weekend.

Thats all for now!

Thanks.

I will do my very best to get pictures this weekend. I can't snap any tonight since it is pretty late for me. Plus it will look better with more rock anyway, LOL.

Lighting is an AquaticLife 8 Bulb T5HO Fixture. Skimmer is an Eshopps Psk-150. :)

I hope to have this tank looking like a masterpiece by Christmas Eve. :)

christmas is too far away!!! This forums demands pic now! haha. I cant wait to see pics and if you need anything, dont hesitate to ask

The first update: The other Yasha Goby diead last night, and I'm not sure if the thing I saw that looked like a shrimp was a shrimp, or just a molt. I hope it was a molt.

It turns out my tank had .5ppm on ammonia! I found that out AFTER I came home with two new fish. So, I did a PWC, and added water conditioner. I also put in a brand new filter sock, and cleaned out the "sponges" in my overflow. I found it odd however, that my one coral in there, my Aussie Acan still seemed to be doing well.

Anyways, the new additions are a Royal Gramma and Orange Spotted Goby. :)

I plan to do more PWC(s) today.
