Micro bubbles and ich????

Hey guys/girls,

Can microbubbles cause, or stress out a fish enough to get ich. My tank's water parameters are PERFECT. The SPS and LPS are thriving, I do a 16% water change weekly. Temp is controlled by chiller and heater so it stays between 77.7 and 78.6.

Guy at my LFS says that it could be due to microbubbles???!!!??

Any thoughts.

Ich infestation is due primarily to the presence of the ich organism in your system.

Immunity may be a side issue, but the main issue is that ich exists in the confinement of a tank without the dilution effect of the open sea.

I doubt it very much.

But what matters most is that if ich does not exist you would not have ich, due to other causes of stress, not just microbubbles.

I would find a different LFS. That is one of the most ridiculous theories I have heard from a LFS.
