Hi Guys,
I'm posting on here in behalf of my in-laws. They have purchased a Rio 450 and have it set up with a protein skimmer which seems to be causing millions of micro bubbles.
They've had it for approximately 3 months. They have no live coral, only artificial, and artificial plants. They have some snails, a hermit crab, and a shrimp and salt water. (I've no idea if that is relevant)
They've tried searching online to figure out what to do to get rid of the micro bubbles; they have salt water and were told they needed a filter in the bottom of the skimmer, but are still getting bubbles.
I tried searching online for some solutions, and came across this site which seems to have tons of info, but unfortunately it's gobledegoop to me as I'm not a fish enthusiast; I'm kind of the technology interpreter. I said I would ask on here and try to help them out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'll upload some pictures of the tank.
