micro bubbles...

hey guys i was doing tank maintence last night, new calc medium(went with brightwell...well seee..) and fitting a new black egg grate top for the bow front 90 gal .....i also cleaned the return ehiem 1260. now i am noticing micro bubbles in the display. it is coming via a burst from the return and i cant figure out why... any ideas? there are 2 other pumps in that chamber in the sump, a maxijet 1200 and a Hydor Pico 4w Circulation Pump as well as a top off float valve.

Did you remove the pump entirely to clean it? If so I would guess an airleak from the re-plumb.

it seems to have corrected itself.

The water level in your sump might be to close to the intake on your return pump. This will create a whirpool effect and draw in some air every so often. Hence the burst of bubbles.
