All of a sudden when I spot feed stuff in my tank or after doing a water change my hob skimmer starts pushing out a lot of micro bubbles...does anybody know what's going on???
Did you put you hand in the tank mine use to go nuts after water changes cause I put my hands in the and it would bubble like crazy but they would go away the next day
Is there any thing blowing water near the hob discharge. Mine always gets micro bubbles if my power head or retun blows twords the return of the skimmer.

It happens with a lot of skimmers actually. It's just not noticeable cause they are in the sump. It can be from the food also along with your hands. Making sure nothing is on your hands is a good idea. I know when I feed my skimmer will either loose the foam head or create micro bubbles that get trapped in the sump. Now I turn it off for about 10 mins during feeding times and it seems to be more consistent.
I've been feeding Marine Snow and Reef Nutrition's Phyto-feast for the last few weeks. I turn off the skimmer for an hour. The skimmate has changed to a greener shade of crud. I have not noticed any big foam production.
It's important to clean your hands before and after tank diving. It's so easy to add pollution from our hands and so hard to remove it.
My experience, putting my arm in the tank tends to temporarily reduce skimmer foam. I turn my return pump off while I feed but in the 24 hours after feeding generally notice increased foam and skimmate production.
