hey everyone. i posted this in the general discussion area yesterday and didn't get any replies so i was wondering if or what anyone has heard about this salt whether its good or bad.

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=23957&cmpid=03csepg&ref=3475&subref=AA

i saw it was on clearance and i'm about ready to get some new salt and figured id try something different then the instant ocean reef crystals for once. so anyone using this currently or had used it but switched off it? please let me know im very curious.

I've been using it for over two years with good results. I especially like the fact that it mixes clean with very little residue left over (DD-Ocean left a messy brown residue). I cut the Microlube-Lift with 1/2 Instant Ocean to reduce calcium levels since the last two buckets I was measuring around 480-500 ppm at 1.025 SG (alkalinity was around 8 dKh).

I use their "Reef Salt" and like it. This is NOT, and should only be used for fish only ("Sea Salt" version).

DR's used to sell the Reef Salt version, but no longer. It appears they are now discontinuing this version also.

Also, if you do try the Reef Salt, the K level is 305, so will need to supplement.
