Hey guys! I posted to let everyone in on this micromussa order......but only a few took me up! Those that did are VERY, VERY happy now....

I can't wait to see what they look like tonight......those pictures were taken right after they came out of shipping!

it was a wholesale order.....but reefdoctormicromussas.com was the main buyer......now and again, friends invite me to throw some $$ on their wholesale orders....this was one of those deals

the actual order was from japan, I believe

I'm not trying to say your corals a not from Japan but it is illegal to collect coral in Japanese waters. If they really are from Japan than they are illegal. It is a shame that people would support this.

micromussa are much smaller! like 8mm in diameter. They grow much much faster! You can go from two polyps, to 15 or 20 in 5 or 6 months.

well the origional order was for non indio micros, dendrophillia, and rhyzotrochus. Tonga got shut down on the 1st, and the rhyzos didn't come, and many many micros didn't come.
I did get a orange dendro colony, and a white with neon green tipped rhyzo a little bigger than my fist.

The dendros are just starting to open today finally

the rhyzo was so big that the fins rubbed on the bag and injured the flesh....but she's just starting to open up a bit this morning....and she took 2 little mysis pieces......I iodine dipped her when she came, and put her in a low flow cave with no direct MH light......I may take her out and dip her again, just to help her fins heal

not sure where exactly the order came from....but it was from overseas, not through the California channels, and not from Australia....

To be honest......non indio micros are usually insanely expensive! I don't really see too terribly many, and most times they are $50+ a polyp.....and the polyps are TINY.......the eggcrate is either 1/2" or 3/4" in those pictures. BUT, all the ones I have will hang with any top notch aussie acans......and they grow much faster!

I think I'm going to wind up with about 10 polyps of each micromussa.....and I might throw a couple frags in thhe next ORCA frag event.....maybe a dendro head also.....we'll see ;-)

Hrm, I don't care where they come from to be honest. I care about conservation, but you can't make assumptions about where things were collected from and then get mad...
